The resources below were made available at the above mentioned free artist workshop. The first document is an excerpt from the IDADA Ethics and Fair Practices Guidelines that outlines the pros and cons of showing your work in an alternative space and how to decide if a venue is best for you.
The second document is a checklist of items to be aware of once you decide to have a show in an alternative space.

Creative Arts Legal League (C.A.L.L.) is a referral service which provides free legal and accounting assistance to income-eligible artists and small arts organizations. For those who are ineligible for free services because their family income or annual operating budgets exceed C.A.L.L. guidelines, C.A.L.L. can provide the names of lawyers and accountants who have expertise in addressing arts-related problems.
