Born and raised in Indianapolis,Vonnegut was an artist, peace and environmental activist and a prolific writer. Vonnegut often included Indianapolis in his writing and is recognized as one of the most celebrated Hoosiers of all time.

Bliss, Pamela Indianapolis, IN

Bliss is an Indianapolis-based muralist and portrait artist who works in a realistic style to create larger-than-life figurative work and landscapes. She received her undergraduate and masters degrees from Indiana University. She has been an adjunct professor of fine arts at Indiana University since 1998 and directs a mural and sculpture competition in Wayne County, Indiana.
