Dave Lawrence, President & CEO
As the city’s chief advocate for the arts, Dave directs all aspects of the Arts Council of Indianapolis including strategic planning and implementation, grant programs, marketing, operations and artist services. Having served the arts community for 20 years, Dave was named president and CEO of the Arts Council in December 2009 after a national search. A graduate of the Stanley K. Lacy Executive Leadership Series (class XXIX), Dave’s passion for and dedication to the arts are evidenced in his leadership of the Arts Council.
Anne Valentine, Vice President
Anne executes all grant programs, including managing the annual grant program of the City of Indianapolis, directs fundraising activities, and works closely with Arts Council President Dave Lawrence on arts advocacy efforts and day-to-day Arts Council management.
Janet Boston, Director of Marketing
Janet ensures that the Arts Council is marketing and communicating effectively to a broad spectrum of stakeholders, including organizing monthly meetings of Indianapolis-area arts marketing professionals and overseeing the development of all collateral material produced by the Arts Council.
Jill Eder, Director of Finance
Jill oversees all finance-related activities, including budgeting, audits, grant payments, and all accounting functions.
Charles Fox, Gallery & Office Coordinator
Charles attends to visitors to the Arts Council office and gallery and deals with various inquiries on the phone. He supplies information regarding the organization, services offered, and the gallery space. Charles also assists in the daily operations of the office and gallery exhibitions.
Shawn Jones, Website & Network Manager
Shawn serves as the website administrator, handling all web programming and maintenance and serves as the IT administrator for the organization.
Shannon Linker, Director of Artist Services
Shannon serves as the Council's principal liaison with local artists, connecting artists and small artist-run organizations with the Arts Council's services including technology, marketing, communications, and public relations.
Candy Marshall, Executive Assistant
Candy supports activities of the executive staff, manages office activities, serves as the liaison to the board of directors, manages special events and initiatives, and manages the internship program.
Jeff Mountjoy, Production Coordinator
Jeff handles the sound, lighting, and audio/visual aspects of Artsgarden events, maintains production equipment and inventory, and assists with events.
Mike Prusa, Artsgarden Director
Mike provides day-to-day management of the Artsgarden, including programming, rentals, maintenance and operations.
Jessica Warner, Artsgarden Coordinator
Jessica is responsible for assisting the Artsgarden Director with the coordination and management of events, operations and maintenance.
Ashley Jackson, Cultural Concierge
Located in the Artsgarden, Cultural Concierge staff members offer visitors and residents detailed information about arts and cultural organizations and the city.
